Self-assessment of Italian technical and political staff

Last week, Aisfor srl and Rete Assist carried out the self-assessment of Italian local policies, evaluating the technical and political staff of the pilot municipalities to determine their perspectives on the impact of local social energy policies.

The responses gathered during this process were compared with those provided by citizens as part of the ethnographic activity process. These insights are highlighted in the Report on Perceptions, Needs, and Priorities of Citizens Concerning the Energy Transitions, available here.

In some instances, the municipalities demonstrated awareness of citizens’ perceptions and desires; however, in others, significant differences emerged. By identifying these gaps, the ENTRACK Project consortium is establishing a foundation for the co-design of policies, focusing on areas requiring attention and improvement.

This self-assessment process will now extend to Spain, Portugal, and Greece, where the findings will contribute to the development of action-based training modules aimed at co-designing a comprehensive social energy policy framework. These modules will incorporate inputs from the MRP actors and integrate the outcomes of the two-step self-evaluation process.
