On Monday the 3rd of December the Portuguese Municipality-Region Partnership (MRP) meeting was held to discuss stakeholder views on the Portuguese policy taxonomy map produced in ENTRACK project deliverable 2.1. The meeting engaged 16 stakeholders from multiple sectors, including local and regional government actors, local and regional associations, social NGOs, social services, employment services, academia, and the private sector.
To facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the map, participants were divided into three parallel rooms. These group discussions focused on expressing their main impressions of the map, identifying any gaps or missing policies, and exploring broader needs in energy and social planning.
The policy taxonomy map and accompanying report were well received by the stakeholders, several of whom were complimentary about the level of detail included in the analysis. Importantly, the stakeholders felt the policy taxonomy was a useful tool which they could draw upon for their work.
The meeting concluded with a presentation summarizing the key results from deliverable 2.1. Overall, the session was a positive and collaborative event with stakeholders highlighting the value of the policy taxonomy for their professional practices and giving the research team food for thought regarding the development of this exploratory work.
