The “Sister Projects – Training & Co-design Working Group,” organized by ENTRACK and led by AISFOR, held its first meeting yesterday, June 26, 2024. This gathering marked the beginning of a collaborative effort among several projects dedicated to sustainability and green energy solutions.
Participating Projects:
- ENTRACK (Empowering local and regional authorities to design clean ENergy TRAnsition plans through Capacity and Knowledge building actions)
- RePower the Regions (RePower the Regions: Ambitious and inclusive clean energy plans for repowering the just transition regions)
- LOCAL GoGREEN (Empowering local authorities for accelerating the CET)
- Step-WISE (A tailored and dynamic capacity building programme to transform local and regional authorities into autonomous early adopters of digitised, integrated, and ambitious Clean Energy Transition plans)
- PROSPECT+ (Capacity building for cities and regions – From learning to action!)
- RENOVERTY (Home Renovation Roadmaps to Address Energy Poverty in Vulnerable Rural Districts)
- IN-PLAN (Integrated Energy, Climate and Spatial Planning)
Meeting Highlights
The inaugural meeting focused on:
- Introductions: Each project presented its objectives and current progress.
- Identifying Synergies: Discussions were held on areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration (on activities, methodologies and application areas)
- Training and Design Opportunities: A first exploratory discussion was also held on the training materials, the potential use of them as well as issues like IPRs and ways to be adressed.
- Action Plan: Next steps and meetings will be scheduled after internal consultations with all projects to align future actions and strengthen collaboration opportunities.
About the Working Group
The Sister Projects – Training & Co-design Working Group is part of a broader initiative to foster collaboration among relevant EU projects. By combining resources and expertise, the group aims to develop innovative solutions and share best practices.
