The CINEA Contractors’ Networking Meeting took place in Brussels on 21–22 May 2025, bringing together projects that support local and regional authorities in the Clean Energy Transition. The event featured sessions and discussions with representatives from the European Commission, policy officers and project coordinators, focusing on the implementation of EU energy policies and the role of cities and regions in achieving climate goals.
The ENTRACK Project took part in this event through a poster presentation and active participation in discussions related to local energy planning and capacity building. Being present at the meeting allowed some of the ENTRACK representatives to exchange experiences with other LIFE projects, get in touch with synergies and focus on the insights into current policy directions and approaches from across Europe. It also provided a space to build connections with stakeholders and funding bodies, which is essential for the project’s ongoing work and long-term impact.
Some of the key topics covered included:
- Accelerating the Clean Energy Transition: EU Policy Update
- From Commitment to Action: The Covenant of Mayors’ experience, future developments and the EU Citizen Energy Package
- Horizon Europe-EU Mission for Climate-neutral and Smart Cities: key features and opportunities
- Empowering local and regional authorities
We thank CINEA for hosting this valuable event and for providing a space where all projects can connect and move forward together.
