5th General Assembly | 29-30 October 2025, Vico Equense, Italy

The 5th General Assembly of the ENTRACK project took place in Vico Equense, bringing together partners to discuss recent progress and plan the final phase of the initiative. Key topics included:

  • Local Planner modeling updates
  • Development of the training platform
  • Progress on policy co-design, monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment
  • A briefing with the Project Officer on the past six months of activities

The second day featured a collaborative roundtable on exploitation strategies, focusing on how beneficiaries can continue using ENTRACK tools beyond the project’s conclusion.

Participants also reviewed national Municipal Regional Partnerships (MRPs) and Communities of Practice (CoP) sessions, and prepared for the upcoming EU CoP session. Prior to the assembly, meetings were held in the Italian pilot municipalities to align on the final year’s activities.

Now entering its third and final year, ENTRACK has explored rural energy and social policies through four key lenses:

  • Political perspective – Mapping energy and social policies from EU to local levels
  • Citizen perspective – Conducting ethnographic research to understand public perceptions and expectations
  • Social perspective – Facilitating self-assessments by policy actors to align policies with community needs
  • Participatory perspective – Engaging stakeholders in co-designing future policies and actions

This work, carried out in eight Mediterranean rural municipalities, lays the foundation for a Climate Rural Contract – a strategic framework that integrates social and energy dimensions. The contract aspires to guide other rural areas in developing socially just and effective climate policies.
